Woodward Park is hosting the 43rd annual Fresno Koi Show on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. The show will be next to the Shinzen Friendship Garden and is free for attendees.

“Koi fish are like living art, they have a variety of patterns, colors, and make amazing pets,” said Central California Koi Society (CCKS) President Lisa Lamoure on the event website. “Koi can recognize their owners and be extremely friendly”.

Every year, the average attendance is over 1,500. It is the only event of the year hosted by CCKS.

“Supporting the Central California Koi Society means supporting the well-being of koi and the promotion of this beautiful hobby,” said the event contact Rosimeri Tran. “Together, we can create a healthier environment for these majestic fish to thrive.”

Both days start at 9 a.m., but the first day goes until 4 p.m. while the second goes to 3 p.m.
