This Friday the 13th could be your luckiest yet as Downtown Fresno venue Fulton 55 hosts the band Flaw, accompanied by bands from the Central Valley.

Beyond California, SediT, and No Silence will be delivering a blood pumping set on stage on October 13th starting at 8:00 PM.

“Our live shows have always stood out from other concerts because of the amount of energy and emotion that we put into it on stage,” said Flaw’s lead vocalist, Chris Volz. “We also love to connect with the fans and hang out before and after the show and mingle with everyone at the concert.”

Flaw is an American band from Kentucky who blends a mix of nu-metal and hard rock to achieve a heavy, hard-hitting yet emotional sound, as can be heard in their 2000 release Through the Eyes. Their latest album, however, includes a variety of covers of iconic artists such as Simple Minds, Phil Collins, Billy Idol, and even modern musicians like Lukas Graham.

“We’ve always wanted to do a cover remake album and when approached by the record label to choose any songs we wanted, it seemed like the perfect chance,” said Volz. “We grew up on all of these songs and are very honored to have been given the chance to remake them and record them with our own twist and our own sound.”

SediT, one of the openers, is a Sacramento based alternative metal band who cites Of Mice and Men, Architects, Sleep Token, and Wage War as some of their musical influences. If you’re looking for a Mötley Crüe style stage presence, the singer Harry Bestolarides is there to deliver. Some of their other influences include big names such as Incubus for the bassist Jacob Henline, Lars Ulrich for the drummer Josh Davidson, and Deftones for the guitarist Jeff Denney.

“The Fresno music scene has been very welcoming and we gain new fans every time we play here,” said Denney. “Our target audience is honestly anyone looking to come out and have a good time.”

Tickets for this event start at 20 dollars plus fees. Doors open at 7:30 PM and you must be 21+ to enter. Parking for this venue will be on the adjacent streets.
