Fall is in full effect, as the first events of the new season are beginning. Not just talking about the new Fall menu from Starbucks and the leaves finally falling. Local farms are getting ready to bring families together to celebrate the Fall season.
Starting with Fresno’s own local farm, Sunshine’s Farm. The family behind the farm has been farming in the Central Valley for over 30 years. The parents migrated to the US in the 1990s and they were some of the first Hmong migrant farmers in Fresno, California.
The family currently grows strawberries, seasonal vegetables and fruits.
The “Hello Fall Festival” event features a “U-pick pumpkin patch”, a great spot to get those 2023 family photos along with a “U-pick Sunflower Field”! The memories and smiles are sure to be endless.
The Fall Festival is taking place this Saturday, September 30th, 2023 beginning from 10 am to 5 pm, located on Sunshine’s Farm, 284 S. Temperance, Fresno CA.
The amount of visitors is expected to be very high, the highest for an event for them ever. “We’re expecting over a few thousand visitors. The most exciting part is probably seeing all the happy kids picking out their favorite pumpkins.”
Along with the pumpkin patch and sunflower field, there will also be a Hay pyramid, along with delicious food trucks, and drinks. The best part? The event is free for everyone of all ages!
Sunshine’s Farm has had a load of success with events similar to this one. Their most recent ones being back in April when they hosted their Strawberry Festival and the Spring Fling Market Days. This upcoming festival is the first of many events being hosted for the Fall season.
October 29th and the 31st, they will be hosting a “Trunk or Treat” at the farm, and a Halloween Movie Night on the 30th.
